1965 Ford Mustang Fastback – interior refurbishment
This stunning ‘65 Mustang Fastback came in refurbishment to both front seats, front door panels and rear interior panels. Overall, the interior was in pretty good shape for its age but needed rejuvenating in certain areas. As you can see from the pictures, we were able to bring the interior up to the same standard as the exterior.
The fastback version of the Mustang went on sale in September 1964 as a 2 + 2 Fastback Coupe, released in response to the growing market for fastback rooflines at the time and introduced the term ‘pony car’ which is an American classification for affordable, compact, highly styled coupés or convertibles with a “sporty” or performance-oriented image. Featuring a 289 cubic inch (4.7-litre) V8 engine producing that classic American V8 burble combined with instantly recognisable and now iconic styling – the 65 Mustang fastback is a true American classic!
